From the composer’s foreword:
My composition “Mountain Lake” is piano music for relaxing and dreaming. Let your imagination run wild when imagining the mountain lake. Images could be: a solemn sunrise over the lake, the delicate reflections of the sun’s rays in the crystal-clear water, the reflection of the mountain peaks, the lake at night framed by the starry sky in winter.
The “lake in the mountains” that I described musically is a symbol of calm, peace, clarity and inner balance.
I also paid attention to good playability in this moderately difficult work. It fits “well in the hand”! I wish all players and listeners of “Mountain Lake” a lot of fun!
