From the composer’s foreword:

As a music therapist, I have set myself the goal of promoting relaxation. An essential element of this work for me is sound. In sound I experience myself through resonance and I experience the passing of time as a sound event/vibration within me.

My compositions for “listening into the sound” are the translation of this approach into simple music for piano. In these pieces I combine listening and breathing as essential elements of relaxation. The unintentional concentration on the sound and the overtones it contains brings inner peace. This is supported by the desire to give the breath (especially the exhalation) “space”.

I have deliberately refrained from specifying possible tempi.

Perhaps a new field of experience will open up for you. Use the freedom of design! Set fermatas as you feel them! Use the pedal in such a way that you enlarge the sound space, but only in such a way that sounds do not “blur” but remain transparent as a timbre.

My wish for you: Enjoy the passing of time in music!
